This past July I trekked to Iceland’s most actively volcanic areas in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation and raised funds to help women and children seeking shelter from abused relationships. For 6 days, my friends and colleagues from Royal LePage offices across Canada trekked through some of the most incredibly breathtaking scenery I have ever encountered. It was the most emotionally, mentally and physically exhausting thing I have EVER done in my life. With 28 of THE most amazing Royal LePage colleagues from across our great nation whom I now consider family, we endured high winds on treacherous mountain sides, massive amounts of dirt blown into our lungs, freezing walks across snowcapped landscapes, bitter cold river crossings in shorts and water shoes, hours upon hours walking over rocks practically scaling a mountain more than once, hanging on for dear life with a chain and/or a rope many times, sleeping on the hard, uncomfortable floor in a tent not big enough for one person let alone two BUT with all this said and done I am so very proud of all us 86 trekkers raising over a whopping $655,000 for women and children in shelters escaping domestic violence across Canada. We endured this for 5 straight days, they live in pain and fear daily. A small price for me to pay in their honour. THANK YOU to all the amazing people who sponsored us throughout this incredible challenge! We LOVE and APPRECIATE you all!

If you were not able to make it to any of our fundraising events and want to know how you can help this great cause, there is still time! Please visit my website below and sponsor me today! The smallest amount will make such a BIG difference in the lives of women and children who are trying to rebuild their lives free of domestic violence!
